After graduating as an MD in 2016, I became a PhD-student at the Head and Neck Cancer Biology & Immunology lab of the Department of Otolaryngology / Head & Neck Surgery at Amsterdam UMC.
I participated in a large international EU consortium to develop decision tools to improve personalized treatment of advanced staged head and neck cancer.  Since 2020, I am a resident Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery at the Amsterdam UMC, and aspire a further clinical and research career in head and neck oncologic surgery.
