Graduated cum laude from the University of Florence (Italy) and he obtained a specialization in otorhinolaryngology at the University of Genova (Italy) after performing an observership period at the Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Department - Vrije University medical center, Amsterdam. Afterward, he completed a 1-year clinical fellowship program in head and neck and transoral robotic surgery at Yonsei Medical College in Seoul (South Korea). He is now completing a PhD program at the University of Genova, Italy regarding artificial intelligence in head and neck cancer. 
 
Currently, he is a consultant at the Otolaryngology - Head and Neck department at the Hospital Clinic (Barcelona, Spain), where he is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of the upper aerodigestive tract diseases and tumors with special involvement in transoral laser and robotic surgery. 
 
He is leading the clinical implementation of a Horizon – European Commission project (AIRCARE) regarding the application of artificial intelligence to upper aerodigestive tract endoscopy and transoral surgery."
