Prof Simon Professor and Chairman (Chef de service) of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, at the University Medical Center Vaud (CHUV) and University of Lausanne (UNIL) in Switzerland since 2012. From 2018 to 2020 he was the chair of EORTC-HNCG. Alongside clinical fellowships at The University of Texas M.D.Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and University of Minnesota (USA) he trained at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. He worked as a Consultant Surgeon (Oberarzt), the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, University of Heidelberg, Germany before becoming the Vice-Chair in 2009.
